Tehran Seminary Director: Snapback Mechanism Reflects West’s Historical Breaches

Tehran — Hojatoleslam Rahimi Sadeq, Director of the Tehran Province Seminary, described the activation of the so-called Snapback mechanism as a continuation of the West’s historical breaches, urging officials and the public to protect society’s psychological peace.

In an interview with Hawzah News Agency, Hojatoleslam Rahimi Sadeq emphasized that the Iranian nation has faced repeated breaches of covenant by Western powers for over four decades since the Islamic Revolution. He noted that Western countries have consistently ignored commitments, including financial agreements, demonstrating a pattern of double standards.

Citing the Holy Quran, he stated that breaking covenants is a characteristic of the enemies of religion and humanity, tracing its historical roots to Jewish movements, which today manifest in the Zionist system, he added, noting the influence of this system on Western culture.

Hojatoleslam Rahimi Sadeq criticized undue reliance on Western parties in nuclear negotiations, recalling that the JCPOA experience confirmed the Supreme Leader’s early warnings. None of the eight conditions set by the leadership were met in the final agreement, even by the negotiators’ own admission.
